LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new video for “The Voice.”

The 44th NAACP Image Awards, will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California tonight from 8-10 p.m. on 21 WFMJ. 

The NAACP Awards celebrate the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.  The winners will be revealed during tonight’s two-hour star-studded special, hosted by Steve Harvey, comedian, best-selling author and host of the hit syndicated shows Steve Harvey and Family Feud, as well as the radio show The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Nominations were announced on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Paley Center for Media.

Tonight, at 10/9 c is the series premiere of the thrilling new drama Do No Harm at 10/9c.  Dr. Jason Cole is a brilliant neurosurgeon who has it all – a lucrative career, the respect of his peers, and the gift of compassion.  But he also carries a secret that could ruin everything…But first, we say farewell the award-winning, beloved cast of 30 Rock in an hour-long series finale, starting at 8/7 c.  Then, Dwight sets to the task of finding a new Junior Salesman while vandalism rears its ugly head on back-to-back brand new episodes of The Office starting at 9/8c.

Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together

A BENEFIT TELETHON TO AID VICTIMS OF HURRICANE SANDY

NEW YORK — November 1, 2012 – Kevin Bacon, Mary J. Blige, Tina Fey (NBC’s “30 Rock”), James Gandolfini, Al Roker (NBC’s “Today”) and Jon Stewart are the newest stars to join NBCUniversal’s broadcast of “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together.” The one-hour live benefit telethon will air Friday, November 2, (8-9 pm ET) across the networks of NBCUniversal, including NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy and USA. The NBC Sports Network and The Weather Channel also have now signed on to air the event.

Bacon, Blige, Fey, Gandolfini, Roker and Stewart join the current lineup of previously announced performers, including Christina Aguilera (NBC’s “The Voice”), Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and Sting, with appearances by Jimmy Fallon (NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”) and NBC News’ Brian Williams.

Hosted by NBC “Today” anchor Matt Lauer, the telethon will be broadcast from the New York studios of NBC at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. It will air live across the East Coast and tape-delayed on the West. Additional networks are expected to join the broadcast of the telethon prior to airtime.

Money collected will be donated to the American Red Cross relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy.

The telethon also will be live-streamed on NBC.com.

The American Red Cross response to Sandy is very large and will be very costly, affecting a massive area spanning much of the eastern half of the country. Financial donations help the American Red Cross provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy. To donate, people can visit www.redcross.org, call  1-800-HELPNOW or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Knockout Rounds begin Monday on “The Voice.”  Coaches will have to pit two of their Artists against each other for a total of 5 Knockout Rounds. The Artists don’t know who they are going up against until they are about to perform. Each Artist picks their own songs and they perform them back to back. The Coach whose Artists are battling decides the winner, leaving each Coach with 5 Artists at the end of the Knockout Rounds.  To get us a ready for the Knockout Rounds, NBC sent us these cool cutouts of the judges!
